Went to see this on Friday, I thought it was pretty good and the 3D was absolutely excellent. You have to be in a certain frame of mind ;) to fully enjoy it though, in my humble opinion.

Not a big fan of this whole 3D thing, its alright for the first ten mins and then you didnt really notice it, same with any 3D film ive seen

To date, the only mainstream cinema realeased film that really made use of 3d technology was my bloody valentine in my view.

All the film i've seen recently really shouldn't have bothered in my view, avatar's usage was so subtle they may aswell have shown it in standard format.

At least with the like of my bloody valentine they upped the effort with the 3D as the film itself wasn't that great but it was such a laugh at the cinema with some of the axe effects.

I noticed that the latest saw film is being realeased in 3d this year, here's hoping they make good use of the technology.:)

Ahh sweet, that sounds well cool.

do they show many old movies in UK cinemas? I know in Ireland they dont really. Sometimes they show the odd one in the Irish Film Institute. Ive seen Taxi Driver and Deliverance and a couple of others.

There is a cool cinema here in Atlanta that shows old movies called the plaza. I went to see Maniac (haha it was mental) there last week. Have also seen gone with the wind and exorcist there.

They are showing back to the future in a couple of weeks :D and rumors of indiana jones coming soon.

This is why i like the states, so much more on offer. We have a independant cinema in aberdeen , it sometimes shows some classics, aliens, werewolf in paris etc but not nearly enough as it should.

Deliverance is one sick film, quite funny in a disturbing kind of way:haha:

Watched this last night.

I sat bang in the middle. I thought the most 3d bit of the whole night was the SKY Plus 3D advert after the movie trailers :haha:

Was a good film. I enjoy weird adventure movies like that :p Different to what i expected & love the beginning when she runs away to follow the rabbit.

Man I love the field its one of my all time favs. Not sure what bits could be 3D haha maybe the tinkers daughters red hair flying around the place or the fight with the yank? Immense movie!

Its weird isnt it because anytime any decent old movies are going to play in Dublin me and my friends would want to go so you would have to assume that their would be enough demand out there?

There is a really old movie theatre in Tampa called the Tampa theatre (fun-illy enough lol). During the summer it shows old movies on Sundays at 1pm the lines do be out the door and down the street. I remember going to see blazing saddles there haha.. man what a total classic from when the phrase "political correctness" didnt mean a thing! There is a total undertone of racism throughout the whole movie but its equally racist to everyone. Black people are looked down upon, Jews are dressed as indians on horses and white people are these stupid people who fear everyone. **when the new sheriff gets up on the stage to make his speech "one moment while I whip this out" haha white women fainting and everything haha.

went to see this last week, was good, i enjoyed it,

i work with someone who has an overlyt large head aswell spent the next day laughing at them :p

although i must admit i still cant grasp the whole 3d thing, most of the 3d looked blurry to me, and only little bits actually looked 3d, it was the same with avatar when i went to see that, maybe it's just me but i'm not very impressed
