Bas Carwash
Fresh Recruit
Hi guys,
My name is Bas and I'm from Holland. I'm 24 years old and I've driven my Corolla since I was 18. Nowadays my Corolla is my secondary car, and mostly a hobbycar.
I just registered here, even though I know the forum for a couple of years now. Since 4 / 5 weeks I have a 4e-fte engine in my Toyota Corolla E10.
For years I've been busy doing the exterior of the car. I built my own front bumper, for instance.
For years I wanted to have a turbocharged engine in my car, and just 2 months back I got the change to buy a Corolla E10 with 4e-fte engine. I swapped the engines and sold the other car. The car came with loads of parts that were not fitted. Of course I fitted them all, so I started right away with a nice setup. Here are a couple of progress pictures from the swap:
Here's my current setup:
EP82 - 4e-fte engine
Air intake with Green airfilter
2,5" downpipe
2,5" cat replacement
60mm catback-system with HKS Hi-Power silencer
Custom FMIC setup
Forge BOV
Just yesterday we had a dynomeeting with a couple of guys from the dutch Corollaclub and Startletclub. I ended up having 123.1 WHP and 167.1 Nm of torque. So that's about 140 - 145 BHP at the crank, running a bit to rich. I'm planning to tune the engine in the next couple of years, doing it all by myself and have a good time tuning is. The target is up or around 200bhp at the crank, and maybe a bit more if I go for a hybrid setup.
I'll be here asking questions most of the time, asking for advice and opinions on how to achieve my goal. For now, complements to your forum and all the monster setups I've seen on your engines!
