Blitz Access ecu

i think you would be better off with an emu/emb set up
i have nothing against pre-mapped ecus, as i used a JAM ecu in the past and it worked great on my ct9
however, for what you are planning and also looking at the price of pre-mapped ecus in comparison to emu/emb set ups,,,,my advice to you is to get a "tunable" system so your car can be mapped accordingly....it should take out any guessing and hopefully your engine will be more reliable with an optimised tune

Perfectly said have sum rep mate.
An that way theres no if's n but's

so with emu or blue as a piggy back ecu you will have a base map with the factory ecu already done to begin with (a big help rather than begin tuning from scratch), and so you can adjust and map various maps for your boost needs etc, im right?

yep you got it, so if you had an emb mapped on a ct9, then you went hybrid all you would do is tweek the map rather than starting from scratch

yes i know there are but not easy for us gozitans plus i dont know anyone which i can trust 101% in, you know Sheld!

aa.. you can always leave it unpluged and plug it in when your at the tuner.

i know someone i would trust and remember there is loads of help and users of e-manage. so easy to upload your map and anyone can take a look at it.

yes thats true Shel! thnks i will let you know when i make up my mind. Anyone knows what harness, sensors should i need if i go emu way for my V pls?

for emu...u will need the emu, the main harnerss, boost sensor and boost harness, injector adapter (cant remember which one off the top of my head)

i would advise you to buy a fields extension harness for the EP91 so that you dont have to "hardwire/butcher" your oem harness........the fields harness makes it plug and play:rockon:...u can get them from rhdjapan or dave iirc

ok, yes the extension harness the way to go more easy to use. thnks for the info mate.

There are some base maps in existent that can be downloaded from somewhere so one can begin from there? (when quoting all the setup specs which i have)

Having just bought a sard ecu i must say i'm very happy with it. I think there are plenty of cons when buying these pre-mapped types of ecu's.

It's definately more cost effective as if you plan on selling them you usually get exactly what you paid for them.

I rate jdm plug n play ecu's highly, i think they are bang on for ct9/hybrid set ups. I run a blitz access myself.

There are plenty of parts ive not had to touch like fuel pressure regulators, fuel pumps, map sensors etc. All would need upgrading for emanage i think.

Also they are pro for ease of changing set ups, i was running a hybrid which shat itself, so just put my ct9 back on and off i go, no need for expensive remaps, same when i changed air filter and intercooler setup's etc.

Also a major plus to them is fuel consumption off and on boost, with my standard ecu most id done to a tank of fuel was 300km, with the blitz ecu i can now do 480km to a tank, so in time its going to pay for itself on money i save on fuel.

Anyway i have some power figures from when i had it on a ct9

My spec is

CT9b with ported wastegate
Jam Manifold
Autobahn FMIC
Decat
HKS Hi Silent exhaust
Front mounted air filter
Blitz access ECU mapped for a K1
Gizzmo IBC

Running over 1.1 bar boost

I know some people will disagree with them, the above is just my opinion, if i was after big power figures i wouldnt bother with them but for what i want there perfect.

gd info there David, thnks for your input bud! How long have you been running with that setup and boost? and also how do you know for what turbo setup your Blitz access was mapped for pls?
