wow, vry gd result there Rumel!

BUT IMHO i would definately not go down that route again, with the money needed to purchase these ecu's it is more beneficial to get something like a emu and get it mapped so it is spot on for your car.

I put it down to my stupidity running so much power on my jam ecu that i blew my piston ring on my old ep and personally i would not recommend this ecu for anyone running anything above a ct9 hybrid.

Agree with Rumel,If ur planin on runin that kind of power then ur best getin mapped on an emu to be on the safe side.
 
but my plan is to stuck with the ct9 hybrid setup max 1.1bar and maybe going forge later on (when i decide to give a refresh build of my engine), so that ecu will be fine for me, Looking around the 200-220 bhp mark :)

Yeh will be fine but i would recommend a emu,just get it tuned up by a decent tuner.

What yuo have got to remember is that it is a pre-mapped ecu, not self learning as many people say.

You could be running stupidly rich on that set up, or maybe slightly lean.

Imo its pot luck if you get one of these ecu's that works perfectly with fuelling based on your set up.

That is correct BUT is it worth the £500 price mark plus a trip to r/r to find out if it is spot on or not?

TBH if you are going to be only using it at that boost i would love to see how it works with a forged engine or an engine with headwork on bud and how the ecu will cope.

If you do go ahead with it make sure you keep us updated :p

I looked into a pre-mapped ecu but i managed to get a 2nd hand emb, so in for fitting and mapping cost me £450 so i opted for that so could have a custom map for my car, plus if your gonna have big power in the future all you would do is tweek the map
 
dnt know exactly about running that boost constantly or not bud probably less (about 1bar), also if rebuilding engine most probable i'll leave the head intact and do only oversize pistons and all bottom end! so with only that i don't see why the JAM ecu won't cope.
Also is it possible to use adj. fpr to trim the excess fuel? as we do with the standard ecu to a certain point eh.

Also i have an aem wideband afr controller to monitor the ratios too so will know at real time how the JAM ecu will fuel with load if i install one.

i think you would be better off with an emu/emb set up
i have nothing against pre-mapped ecus, as i used a JAM ecu in the past and it worked great on my ct9
however, for what you are planning and also looking at the price of pre-mapped ecus in comparison to emu/emb set ups,,,,my advice to you is to get a "tunable" system so your car can be mapped accordingly....it should take out any guessing and hopefully your engine will be more reliable with an optimised tune

fully understand your thoughts guys, yes regard prices an emu way is much more worth it, the only slight problem is that here in Malta tuning on dynos are not as easy as you may think, although nt impossible either as help will always be found :)

so what was your setup gorgan when you were using the JAM ecu?
