My thought on that would be that it needs to be connected....
Does the PCV not control preasure within the engine, and releive it?

Thats my thought, but could be barking up the wrong tree.

The PCV on the 4EFTE Is there for one simple reason...to prevent the turbo pressure to go into the crankcase...infact as soon as you go from Vacuum to boost it will shut the flow to the top cover to prevent the turbo from pressurizing the crank case...under vacuum its open to vent off the gases.....As Damage said another common mistake on rebuilds is to switch the power steering vacuum pipes under the Intake with one off the pipes which gives coolant to the throttle body (Very common mistake)...and you can imagine the end result...Coolant in your chambers...

ok ive taken that in but the car run totally fine for about 4-5 miles down the duel

surly if the pipes were wrong it would have done it in the first place

it should be fine.. doubt running for 20mins at such low revs would cause any problems.. just change the oil to make sure all the flooded petrol in the cylinders didnt soak into it..

oh yeah, & go make ur gramps a cuppa tea!! man deserves it!

last night i dscoverd oil underneath the car, opened the bonnet and its comming from around the rocker cover area and the back left hand side of the engine

we took the rocker cover off tuesday to tension the cam cogs and everything was fine

Any ideas
