Haha! I feel your pain! Although my cars used as my daily driver as I couldn't afford 2 policies! As much as I would love to keep it off the road, the salt really makes me cry! But, it gets a regular clean so I'm hoping it will survive! Hopefully! Haha..

Totally agree.

The auto is too much fun in the slippy stuff so fuck it. Bring on the snow!

Mine comes out for the weekend every couple of weeks, but it's now covered in shit and needs a wash.

Nah the car's built to be driven so I'm not tucking her away..might have to go for a year without driving it at all so making the most of it! Gets washed the odd time but it's pointless when you get stuck behind a lorry..or worse still the dreaded "gritter" lol.

salt is an absolute cunt
luckily in ireland we dont have such a bat time of it.mostly grit not much salt in it
i took the engine out of a uk spec s14 the other day.iv never seen such rust there was a piece of the chassis leg a foot long missing
one main bolt for the rear subframe isnt actually attached to the car
and when i jacked it up with the rear diff and let it down on 2 axel stands they went straight through the floor

got mine tucked away in the workshop, waiting for better weather nxt year :)
have 4 cars so no real problem in storing it and using others as daily drivers (have the GT and 2x NA starlets and a 2006 lancer wagon for the misses)
also gives me the chance to do some work on her while she's off the road. so glad i have my heated workshop. i remember the hassle of wrench time in the winter. freezing my balls off and stiff fingers from the cold tools etc. but no more!

I have never taken mine off the road in the 10+ years I have had it and its not done it any harm yet! just need to wash it more often to keep the salt down.

luckily i got myself a little daily for work and now that the car is going into td very soon for a forge and a good few other bits it wont be coming out in the wet or shit weather as i dont want to get the engine bay all cleaned with the new engine then it becomes grubby again, but like someone said above i love those fresh mornings when its cold but sunny !
