cleaning engine bay?????

I dunno if this is really the place to post this, but i was woundering how is the best way to clean my engine bay all over especially the sides and back bulck head of the engine bay that are hard to get your hands in????
also wot cleaners do people use and are they safe to use on ally??

I also just squirt it all full with engine cleaner/degreaser and then attack it with a pressure cleaner. Always looks so pretty after that, ha ha
 
apply engine degreaser then wash it away with a pressure washer (always avoid to directly point water to sensitive areas) and you will get a shiny bay :)

a steam cleaner cleans it up very well and gets rid of really oily parts, it also squirts into places your fingers wouldnt reach

i always wd40 any electrical connections, then heavy duty engine degreaser sprayed on with a sprayer bottle thingy, use a small brush and work it in, the leave for 30mins then power wash off, i do this a few times if its bad :)

Oooo and i tend to warm the engine up first before i start..

For the paint work i use G3 and a cloth, but unbolting a few things helps n just puch them out the way lol

yeah be careful a garage drowned mine and its still stinkin :( im 2 scared to clean it now really need to clean the gear box by hand.

can i just wipe engine degreaser on then use a damp cloth to clean off dont want to steam clean xxx

I've read somewhere that a mix of 20% fairy liquid and 80% parofin oil cleans all the grease and gunk off perfectly. Haven't tried it yet though, though the state of my bay I should have :slap:

yeah i used to use that to clean my motorbike wheels :D
