to be perfectly honest, the only difference was when it was idling, it just sounded slightly subaruish, but the revs seemed to sit at a constant 1000rpm, then the hi/lo boost solenoid broke cos of the ammount of oil in the turbo system, but i really never noticed the difference in the performance it still went like shit off a shovel confirmed by beating a fiat uno turbo by quite some margin.

i did notice losing oil but couldnt think where.

it goes well now though.

i think we need to get things like this made up into a fact sheet. unless i'm missing it.

on the old site on the home page there was an area you could clcik on that would bring up servicing shedules part no's info about the cars etc. that would be nice here, but with details such as this added?

thats the same as wot happened to mine, except only 2 of mine had cracked.

you need to find out wot caused the pistons to crack though, e.g running lean

yup, 1.3 bar with no proper ecu i think was the final nail in the coffin. sneakin suspicion there was very very mild cracks before it ever ran that cause oil did seep a bit before the hybrid an boost controller was on, but doesn't hide the fact that it was the boost pressure on standard internals aint good lol. Oh and plus my engine had big mile on it from me commuting, over 100k
***BIG LESSON FOR EVERYONE*** lol, i found out the hard way, so yous dont have to lol.
Ah well i still had mega fun with it for a good few thousand miles.

sorry to thread jack

but when my starlet died a few weeks back i did a compression test starting left to right the results were

0 bar
10 bar
10 bar
10 bar

So i know i have a big problem i am just unsure what it is as i havent took the emgine apart yet...

what is 10 bar equivalent to and is that correct for the 3 pistones that are reading ok .....
