Been considering this years roadtrip and the idea of blasting round Scotland has come up. Did a bit of online research and Apples Cross looks quite interesting but I was wondering if anyone has any other recommendations on what tarmac to sample?
Cheers in advance! :drive:
And the chippy in Ullapool is worth the tank of fuel lmao
The road from Garve to Ullapool is awesome.... but almost a bit too fast for an ep, I prefer doing it in my beemer. Our wee cars are best suited to proper twisty stuff! North of Ullapool upto Kinlochbervie (can't get much further North) gets better for that, but a bit far and remote for a road trip, nice for a holiday though.
I need some suggestions too as I'm planning a group road trip later in the year - I want some good twisty roads to show up some bigger cars!
EDIT: Agreed on the chippy though btw!!!
This is all good input folks, starting to look forward to it already
A few of us make a point of going on a roadtrip every year. Went to the Ring in 2011 and drove the length of Ireland last year so the pressure is on this year lol. Had fancied the Isle of Man but it's a little small for roadtripping purposes. Still needs done though!
I'll get googling on those roads now, cheers!
check out the A702 Edinburgh to A74 (m) from start to finish is a great road to blow away the dust,
The lenght from your place or the top off northern Ireland to cork? Do you remember what was the distance or how many k you drove?
