Well folks it has been a long time coming, over 18 months, back to 133bhp (ish) and some portacabling to do but i have finally got the GT back on the road again. After spending many thousands tuning an modifying i had her sitting pretty (i thought) and running a 13.7 @ 113mph qtr mile an a really well suited back road car
Then after inevitable engine trouble, chris freshly built the engine an got her goin well again which i enjoyed for a few months, before i decided to buy a house so she came off the road, "for 6-8 months" while i got the funds sorted. But that took longer than i thought so decided to return her to basically standard, to help out. So 18 months on i have got her on the road again, with no end of help from Jay!! He has been the man behind the re-birth so hats off to him!! I have been down to his a few times to get some final tweaks an niggles sorted but in the mean time i also spent a night in the garage with a few beers an got stuck into buffing , polishing then waxing the whole car. Needs the bonnet and roof properly buffed/portacabled with compound to take off the hazyness from her sitting for so long. So as she is now, i got fresh insurance etc, to use it as my only car and have parked my 307 at my folks house, (307 for sale soon folks ) and after driving through every county today in it for work, i have certainly fallen in love with it all over again
