The thing is, those zig-zags are about 20yards long, the police will see no reason why he couldn't drive on a little bit.

depends if its a busy street etc etc,

end of the day if you were literally there for 30 seconds then it is really harsh.

seek some advise from the desk officer and explain your situation im sure they can shed some more light on it

i dont know yards but this was about 2meters each way. and i couldny park anywhere else as just after the zigzag lines i would of been blocking the road off as it narrowed down to single file

im sure ur right neway but zig zags on a crossing look different, and surely have a different meaning than one on a curb?

£60 and 3 points is harsh, they could of just told you to move immediately and not do it again otherwise the former will occur.

But at present it's your word against theirs, not much you can do I guess.

That is a tad harsh. Must have been a right wanker policeman. Dont see why the 3 points have to come in to play.
Why would they dish out points for this but they offer you to watch a video (or get points) if you have been caught on a mobile or without a seatbelt.
(which is what my gf's mum does with the old bill)
I would be as pissed off as u mate :flame:

It is extremely harsh,

must have been a right c**t of a policeman,

I wouldnt take it to court cause they will just back the police and youll haev to pay court fee's etc

Swallow your pride, admit you were in the wrong and pay the fine. Not much more you can do. You broke the law and got caught. Weather the law is a just and fair one is another matter, but it is the law and the punishment is 3 points and £60 fine. I bet you will be more careful now and after reading this post, so will many more people.

Chisw it was Birmingam food and tech right outside the main door, if you have ever been there youll know its a damn quiet road and i suspect they saw me enter the road and followed closly behind, it was litrially as soon as she got out the car they pulled up next to me and said thats going to be 3 points and a 60£ fine, it was a woman copper that said that though the window then the guy got out, and came over and asked for my licence.

i tried to play it politly but he was having non of it and jsut did his own thing. i didnt even leave the drivers seat for the whole time this was happening!

just so every1 is clear, it was a Zebra crossing that i had gone PAST then pulled over on a ONE WAY sp in no way atall could i have been blocking veiw for pedestrians that arnt even about as the uni is closed for lessons.

The copper was too arrogant to care on my opinion and the only other thing the woman said was (what colour was the car) and i said white and shall correct the logbook once the paint is complete as i still have the whole left had side in white. (i was in my glanza)

Ricky, thats not a bad idea, i couldnt care less about getting done for GBH as i get some time off work lol
