I'd hate to think how much Toyota would want for them. They're the same as a normal Starlet, so should be plenty of good second hand ones around.

He has the same problem I had. Where the wheel bearing has been wearing out the stub axle. When you change the bearing it will on push in tight on one side. And as you drive the stub axle try's coming out of the bearing which makes the pads rub on the discs because the wheel is at such an angle. That's what gives you the grinding noise

If your going to press the hub flange out of the bearing, chances are the outer bearing race will pull out with the flange. Basically the wheel bearing will need to be replaced when changing the hub flange.

Just be carefull when taking it out. As its a new bearing. It may press out all as one. But it might not its 50/50 bud. Just use loads of wd40 :)

I'd put money on the fact the bearing will split, the force required to pull the outer bearing race off the flange will be greater than the force required to pull the race out of the bearing case, WD40 wont help you much here. Get yourself another wheel bearing mate, you'll be glad for it. The bearings are the same for both EP82 and EP91, so should be easy enough to get hold of, if it helps the ADL Blueprint bearing kit part number is ADT38227.

Phone around all the motor factors local to you and see if you can get hold of one, worst case scenario Euro Car Parts have them in stock:

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Toyota_Starlet_1.3_1997/p/car-parts/car-transmission/transmission-parts/wheel-bearing-and-wheel-hub/?628820040&1&77ba0908c0f745086b27d6a469ba578fe6505290&000370

Try your local branch first:

If they don't have one on the shelf then you could drive to Wembley and pick one up.
