help me please,engine wont rev....has a video inside.

its located under ur main plug lead at the bulkhead side and has a plug with around 6 wire going in to it unbolts with 2 srews
i may have one laying around

ah,so u think it needs changed rather than cleaned and put back together?

ill go out n check again for facuum split on map sensor and see if i can see the amp thing.
 
sounds different to the one i had :confused:
id say its ur dizzy that's went wrong
when a car has a naked crank/cam sensor they do this .hit a limiter down low revs .the dizzy is ur cam sensor ;)
almost 90% sure it would be that ;)

mark - i took the dizzy off yesturday and cleaned it,the dizzy and rotor arm is little over a year old.

do u still think its that? any way i could sort it without having towait on a replacement?

no i mean the dizzy the part that goes in the engine for adjusting advance retard timing
not the cap

ah,...i cant beleive this. some one fucks the lock with a screw driver,and not i cant even drive it to the bodyshop to get it sorted,and repaired

i unplugger the throttle sensor on the back of the throttle body and now it revs all the way....awesome!!!!

Whats the reason behind it then? Im presuming the TPS is goosed, but why the limit at 2k odd?

TPS contacts could be stuck in the idle position?

Could be worth bashing the throttle pedal several times (without the engine running) and see if it makes any difference.
