metal filings on a magnetic sump plug are common place, i had a bit more than that when i left my oil in for 3k miles.

but i can imagine how much more was in there when u took the sump off lol

yer ther wa loads and loads and loads lol

there was none on the plug when the oil was changed3 k miles ago - thing is you can use a magnetic filter - but to have on on all the time at 40 quid a pop every few months lol you'd end up spending over 200 quid just on oil filters in 1 year - - - - if the car lasted that long lol

Problem diagnosed !!

Hi lads just thought i'd tell you that we have stripped the engine out of the car and down to the block and the crank is fucked as is one of the rods which means i need a new one from scat oh and a set of main berings and a set of big end bearings as well

oh and just to top it off i need an oil pump as well as everything is scored to fuck lol

i forgot to take a pik of the rodcap but has gone from the silver coulour to black lol - god know wot would have happened if it wasnt a forged one

the bores and rings are 100% so the hunt is on for new parts !! haha

enjoy the piks !!

the bores are A-ok i am getting a new crank and bearings and 1 new rod lol oh and a new uprated oil pump oil pump !!

diagnosis was oil starvation . . . . . . still don't know why though - must have been to do with the cooler at first being plumbed in wrong and then it will have quickened the process

gunna be using different cams as they had been heated too and discoloured
