shame too see this, the delay in response is showing hes guilty of something. i dont knowhow you would go about refunding as the purchase was a while back. but as you have said get your self a report , get intouch with paypal, open a case, he will have 14 days too make his point too them, you send in the report an allyour info, plus lack of communications since the problem has occured.
chances are mate they might see it in your favour, an automatically deduct the funds from his payla/account weather they are in there or not. ive seen it done before.
it is a real bastard that things like this happen. an i can imagine how your feeling, especially when hes not even got the desency too respond.
worst case senario, summon him too court. it will cost couple hundread quid, but also cost him. an if he refuses too turn up. then youll get the descion with out a doubt mate.

shame to see jamie get fucked about with this, but i know he paid cash for this so paypal claim isnt an option, plus you only have 45 days to file a dispute so he wouldnt of been able to anyway. i also doubt a court would allow this to pass through the system into a civil case, i think it would be highly unlikely.
the best bet is to keep trying to contact this Ragz guy and with any luck something will come out of it. the lack of response though makes me pessimistic to say the least
anyway trying to make the best of a bad situation i hope your new build goes good jamie and uve got ur forged pistons!

Wow, $700 qid is like $1400 Australian.
This engine was definetly sitting around the garage floor for some time before it had a headgasket job done. BUT, maybe it developed the rust for sitting for 7 months doing nothing. This does not explain the vice marks on the pistons.
