havent been through all this thread but where ever it was mot ask to see the cctv ive seen it before the boys take it out and give it some beans not knowing its being run in could be mate worth a try if they have done nuffin rong they will show you cctv no worrys, also should have checked the milage before you droped the keys off bud hope it gets sorted

now been through it all mate i know what its like had a 5e forged lump drop a valve with head work i never did and a tradder on here not good its hard to claim matey but hopfuly you get somthing back and should, if you have any problems can pm me for help,
but who puts pistons in a vice lol
for the bores to be rusty must have only been left in the air some time while being rebuilt and did not have a quick hoan to clean up before being built again

The guy who does my mot's wouldn't do that, there is no cctv in the garage, but the mileage was exactly the same as when I left it. So no worries about him caning it!
But if it had done 1500 miles as ragz is now claiming then it wouldn't need running in anyway
Either way, the rust wouldn't be there on a rebuilt engine, and nor would it be on the buckets. And as the pictures show the pistons in a vice?
There is obviously numerous faults with this engine. All of which would not be here on a "rebuild' its a fucking joke!

just checking mate seen it before, and gotta admit have done it myself when a beast comes in gotta check the performance for the owner to tell them its all good
and bud must have been a little noisey with all that rust in there but your right if hes done the running in miles hey like you said should be perfect
what makes me wonder is wy some people spent the time and money on a build and then sell with so less miles

That's it, I appreciate some garages do that. That's why I've spent ages finding a guy I trust with my car. He knew it wasn't run in.
It didn't sound that bad, but with all that rust in there it was only a short amount of time before it blew up! This engine was a time bomb. If the incorrect torque setting didn't kill it the rust etc would have!
I thinkt hats the reason it was sold, slap it together and make a quick buck and sell it on!

agree with you there mate get some assholes like that!!!!! sorry to be rude but thats it it shows you havent done this youve just brought it and in a sealed engine you dont get rust like somones put the coolant and oil in the rong way round HAHA
