I had the nct today and I failed it

(1) the cv boot is gone (2) 2 nuts not on two wheels ( lock nuts ) (3) one of the coilovers bolts wasnt on right.

I was away for two year and the nct ran out before i want away, I came home and I put it true in January and it failed too, passed 2nd time and I only got six months Why was that like? so three months was today and i put it in a early test and didnt they fail me on that stuff, i am so mad the car is the same way as it came out of the last test 12 weeks ago.

This has to be Ireland again making right dickheads off us poor joe soaps. How is this country out of money when WE are paying so much money on taxes and ect and do you know how much money we are giving to the tax man per litre 55% Yes that is right.

I am of to pack my bags again

iv mine 3rd next month not looking forward to it at all!!

might just leave a 50 in the ashtray showing! :)

yeah i was looking into this aswell

your nct is for two years in a cycle every two years if your car is off the road for say a year then you go to nct it then you will have only a year on the nct as they back date it

if you leave it for the 2 years you skip over the cycle and your into the next one which you will have then the 2 years test

doesnt matter now ayway with our cars as they only get a years test now but the same still aplys with that if you miss 6 months then they will back date it and only have 6 months to go on

Yeah mine was the same failed on strut brace bolt loose and the grill were there's four bolts that holds it down i took them out when i was fitting filter relocator never put them back in failed cause it was loose. So that was last year but last month went true again didn't say anything about the grill and failed it on my filter been loose and sun visor to long. Joke like ?

I have been asking myself that question over and over sooooo much thos days. I came home as i could only get 2 years working holiday visa and my wife wanted to see her inlaws and i did want to come home too but i never did think it was this bad.

Can you not get another visa to get back out again?

na i wouldnt do that stephen.. the last few cars i brought for the nct failed on things and when i brought them back they only tested what they failed on in the first place.. if that has changed lately i wouldnt know..
