Hmmmm, hard to know what to do. I've a larger intake pipe to fit to the MR2s throttle body, the standard one is restricted so it give about 6whp aparently. Ff there's not much interest maybe I'll harass Jay to call round to his and do it. It's only 4 bolts but all my tools are in the Starlet up at ECC.

Thats a pity, I suppose the idea was started but never really completed. I booked a day off work today partly for this and partly for the drag racing. All I got to do is put my Xmas tree and decorations up, class.

Sometimes these things need someone to take the lead and set a time and any other necessary details, but that never materialised. I still think its a good idea so maybe we could reschedule it for later in the month? If we are planning to lap the penninsula we will need a start point and general route, so someone who knows the roads a bit down that way would be best to put a suggestion forward imo.

I am still going to Bishops so to anyone who is going I will see you there, I think the drifting finishes at 3.30 so I will be there about 3 to see the end of that while its still light.

You boys are welcome to call into mine on the way down if it suits or I can just meet you at the ferry. Roads are clear and the sun is out here!

Aye it was interesting, never raced in ice before, was more like playing chicken than racing, who had the will power to keep it lit to the end lol.

Cossie I think you did a burn out the full length of the track :p

Hey guys was good to meet a few of you today, just a pity the weather didn't play ball. Thanks to wee John for the lend of the helmet, disappointed I couldn't get grip from the line, spinning in third and going nowhere was a new one for me lol

You were not straight anywhere on the way up the strip lol, a lot hairier in a RWD than the 2/4WD cars for sure.

I planned to go easy the 1st run but once I got it into 2nd and got a bit of traction I just let it rip. I dont think I have ever tried slowing down from 90mph on ice with patches of tarmac through it, it was certainly an experience lol.

If he decides to run another night race I will definately go, once the light faded it looked even better! I think he was right to stop it, could have been an accident quite easily.

Yeah would be interested in another chance at a night race, though the decision on the night was a good call. After I had that run I wasn't for going back up again. I've been bit by the bug again roll on next year :)
