oilman do you have feedbacks on castrol magnatec 10w-40? coz i run it on my 4efte engine. i noticed that its burning on warm weather.

what are youre thought on bardahl b-1 oil supplement? coz it really cougth my attention.

Magnatec is only a basic semi synthetic, 100% mineral base. Im not a huge fan to be honest. Dont bother with any oil additives just use a better oil.

yeah i think it a crap. i picked the wrong one.

have you heard of valvoline durablend? some say its a good oil for its price.

That little difference in viscosity is nothing to worry about.

That oil test is a load of rubbish. We get links to that one all the time and the tests they use are completely pointless. They used the Falex test, and if you follow the link below, there is a bit about how incorrect the test is

As you can see, the test shows beer and milk are better lubricants than oil.

Don't use that or any other overpriced rubbish that claims to do miracles in the engine. They are all made of incredibly cheap chemicals that break down in the engine, to produce acidic chlorine based compounds. Part of the way they work is to overcharge for them, so people decide that based on the price, they must be something specail

Oilman, one question:
Taking the quoted car.
What kind off gearbox oil would you recommend?
The car does not have LSD.
I was looking at the Motul web page and they have:

Gear Competition
Gear 300 75W90
Motylgear 75W80

Model: Gt Turbo ep82
Year: 1993
Engine size/type: 1.3T
Any mods: inteke hkd, apc upmount intercooler, catback.
Type of use: Road, a little drag, avarage drive, but not to slowly.
It has 127,000 kilometers on the odometer.

Currently using Motul V300 Competition 15w 50.
