Hi Jack

I would use a 5w-40 synthetic and you will find those through the link below.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XFS, Fuchs Supersyn and Mobil Synt S are good, cheaper alternatives.

Cheers

Hi

You need a 75w-90 for the gearbox and here are the ones we have.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-673-75w-90.aspx

If you want to go for the best, the Millers CRX 75w-90 NT, Motul Gear 300, Redline MT90 and Millers TRX are ideal for the gearbox. The Castrol Syntrax, Motul Motylgear and Fuchs Gear Syn are all decent alternatives.

You need an MTF for the gearbox and I would go with the Redline MTL, Amsoil MTF or Fuchs Sintofluid.

Hi,out of castrol edge fully synthetic and motul 8100 x-cess, which one is better?
To be used in a forged engine, hard driven.

Edge is a PAO synthetic, X-Cess is a hydrocracked oil, so Edge is the better oil. It's also about the same price as something like the Fuchs Pro S and that's an ester oil, so the next step up from Edge

And in a hot climate,reaching 35-38 degrees in summer,would the 5w 40 be good?
what grade suits such a hot climate?

With fully synthetic oils whats the changing interval in terms of kms?
5000 kms?

Car is a daily drive with spirited driving.

A good 5w-40 should be fine. The oil temp is more important than the ambient temp. Something like the Edge 5w-40 will be fine up to about 120C, so keep an eye on the oil temps.

Magnatec is a pretty basic option for your car. I'd go for a 5w-40 synthetic, especially at this time of year as it will give better cold start protection
