Hi Oilman, I see that your doing an offer on your Gulf 5w40 competition oil. Would this be suitable on my Starlet gt turbo thats just used as my daily driver? Its running approx 150/160bhp and has always ran on 5w40 fully synthetic oil and has 120,000km. Cheers.

so this would be better? wot about in the summer then?
A good 5w-40 should be fine. The oil temp is more important than the ambient temp. Something like the Edge 5w-40 will be fine up to about 120C, so keep an eye on the oil temps.
hey, what you think of Shell Helix Plus 10w 40 oil? (blue bottle, says synthetic on the bottle lol)
Ive got a 1996 glanza v, completely stock, seen a 5w40 on your site, motul 8100? would do the job fine? road use is all i need from it
cheers
I thought that one is a semi. It definately says synthetic? Either way, it's okay stuff, synthetic is the way to go though.
Cheers
Tim
Hi
You need a 75w-90 for the gearbox and here are the ones we have.

If you want to go for the best, the Millers CRX 75w-90 NT, Motul Gear 300, Redline MT90 and Millers TRX are ideal for the gearbox. The Castrol Syntrax, Motul Motylgear and Fuchs Gear Syn are all decent alternatives.
Cheers
