u sure the intake earths are on the 2 earths on the intlet manifold at the ic valve sounds silly but i would check them
I'm guessing the 'intake earth' relates to what I would call a 'junction connector'. Basically a point in the wire harness were a number of wires join and become one wire.
E2 is the sensor ground. Its earthed through the ECU, so if you have the ECU connectors disconnected you wont get any continuity to earth on this wire.
Have you checked behind the kick panels for any grounding points?
IIRC E1 should be a brown wire if that helps.

Right, iv borrowed an ecu (many thanks to Charlie aka Crazy Glanza) it was working fine till after 150kms.. everything was spot on.. then as soon as the ecu started to adjust to what it was reading from the sensors its all gone to shit again same fucking results i was getting with the other oem ecu i have im going fucking bonkers.. so now the ecu is ruled out as well.. i really dont know which stone to turn over next.. each day its seeming more likely that im going to have to make a new harness for the whole engine or buy a new one from toyota..
i really need to know where the earth mounting points are on the body for the ecu.. i cant find where they go to & iv dismantled most of the dash lol.. im going fucking bananas lol :homer:
my car needs an exorcism .. or worse lol :shoot: :haha:
any ideas feel free to lob them at me lads!

i believe i suffered from the same problem, e.g., i would start my car would be fine once warm and the ecu was using the 02 sensor data, the car would idle bit erratic and run extremely lean until i held the throttle down slightly to bring up the egt, then would run fine as the 02 sensor would start switching properly again from rich to lean, my car was checked by 10 specialists and eventually was told to run a 3wire 02 sensor with heater circuits, and i did and it cured the car,even after trying 4 other 1 wire 02 sensors made no difference but the 3 wire cured it!
will do guys, shall i earth e2 as well? i think thats the simplest thing to do lol..
will report back as soon as iv got some results!
