Reasons for low torque figure??

My car was dynoed at 208bhp (fly wheel) 177 or 187 wheel horsepower?? can remember but my torque figure was 185 lb ft??

Ive seen ct9's get that figure.

What would be the main reasons for a poor torque figure?

My only conclusions so far are??

I cant advance my ignition timming as im using a JAM ECU and SAFC for the fueling, a stand alone would be a better option,

Also ive found my gasket between my main and head has a small leak maybe more that i can see??
Also have a small leak where my back box jois the exhaust??

I have the Dyno print out at home if it would be any use??

All input is welcome ,

Thanks.

Post up a pic of the dyno graph to see if there are any flat spots and where the torque starts and drops off mate...

Im at work at the moment so i wont have till i get home,

It has to dyno graphs on it,

One was of my ct9 that made 150 at the fly and the other of the TD04

As far as i remember the torque curve and power curve were fairly good.

the jam should be doing the ignition fine, to be fair.

most ct9's get about 150lb/ft of torque.

maybe its just that your engine is getting a bit old now.

Well ive seen a few figures on peoples ct9/s that were alot more than 150

Also ive seen people with the same turbo as me getting more than 185 for a figure also,

Quite possibly you could be right about the engine??

yeah everyones engine is different and different dynos provide different readings..... i wouldnt worry to much about it...... does it feel nice and torque on the road? if so thats all that matters anyhow....

i must admit i got 170lb/ft, with the cat and standard mani on, but my engine was fresshly rebuilt.

what boost are you running?

as power seems a bit low for a tdo4

what bore exhaust do u have?

leaks in the exhaust will affect torque, too much fuel will also affect torque..

also what kind of intake do u have?

Where was your peak power made?
Further up the rev range, and the torque will drop, and vice versa.

I had 165ft/lb on my setup, but the peak was well up there, 6.5k plus.

Im too used to the pwer now anyway!!

mate thats all good then :)

its what it feels like when driving that counts, im not all bothered about figures.... even though 310lbs of torque i made did feel good lol....

Its a 2.5 inch full system,

As in intake do you mean intake mani or inake on the turbo,
Standard intake mani and toms edition k&n filter off turbo,
