SARD Regulator issue - fittings?

bah, i re-did the two with ptfe tape...the Fuel Return Outlet though is fubard, and can't get the fitting in there...

How do you do it Riko, your worse than me. All it is is 3 nipples and some hose damn it!

I know! Truth be told, I did put the red nipple in the outlet as the blue seemed too tight...but on removing said nipple, it kinda...lost all it's threads, which are welded onto the threads of the regulator. Hooray

sounds like you been havin fun, your lost the thread, sounds like the thread had a diffrent pitch and you put them in the wrong hole if there diffrent, hence stripping the thread off

the nipples wont go right into the regulator as far as they can go, as the the thread on the regulator is tapered. PTFE tape has worked ok on mine and seems to be holding strong so far(touches wood in a blind panic) make sure you put plenty of it on if your going to use it.

make sure the nipples are done up tight but dont do them to tight as the regulator and nipples are ali and you could easily ruin the thread, which you could possibly have done already. (you said the 2 you done seem really stuck)

the two I did were stuck but managed to get them loose, ptfe taped them, and got them back in, probably overtightly but they're in at least. It's the bottom, i.e. the most important outlet that is ruined

as far as im aware there was no thread difference on mine the red nipple i received was the extra nipple i bought, unless maybe i got it right out of luck.

you might be able to get it rethreaded riko, fingers crossed.

i feel so sorry for you dude you seem to have all the bad luck.

ditto , both the inlet and outlet where the same on my sard one too (1/8/ntp)

haha, it's the black car...or the 666 in my username, I'm sure of it :p. For rethreading, I just get a standard tap & die?

yes but it must be perfectly straight, and also you will need to find a a wider nipple, as the hole will be bigger.
