smoking on idle

was't aimed at you mate, he needs to check his pcv valve has't got blocked, you would be amazed at how much difference it makes to things

mine was bellowing out smoke on idle other day changed pcv valve and it stopped.

My bmw was smoking on idle some times and i change the valve steam seals and stop straight away!

Its a Standard ECU, Iv changed the PCV valve didnt do much, im gunna go down the route of the turbo seals and see if that works as looking back at the history they were done a few years ago now

if its ok while driving, then after you have stopped for a few seconds its starts smoking really badly i would say its the exhaust seals on the turbo. mine did this very soon after i gutted the cat

ditto mate, its not valve stem seals as i would be blue smoke and would do it either as you let off or go on the throttle

check if theres oil in the intake and exhasut side if the turbo if none,

change pcv valve
or change your oil and oil filter


i have the same problem with you but when i changed the pcv and oil it worked

my car is smoking now onidle i and it not even 3weeks sincie i change the vale steam seal cause it was smoking i think i will try the pcv valve

ive had the same prob and it turned out to be spark plug gaps simple check but its worth it to eliminate some possibility's!
