Spitting oil from breather

its very common, there is a huge restriction in runner 3, and causes massive heat build up when running higher than standard boost.

so yes a new mani will also be needed. once you have rebuilt the engine, and replaced the mani, the engine will be sound.

I think the ported manifold will work.

We will see if mine survives the mapping and ill get the digi thermometer on it when she is up and running again.

headgasket set is £88 genuine toyota. rings will prob be £50+. not sure on the piston, your better off getting a used one. hopefully the bore isnt worn too much. put a ring in the bore before you fit the piston, and check the end gap (with feeler gauge) to see if its within the tolarence..

Ive got 3 good condition pistons and rods if you need one asap.

I am using one in my engine on the weekend.

Wont want much for one complete with a rod, I will also have a spare set of shells to save you buying the whole set (like I had to) as it is good practice to put new shells in with the different rod/piston.

You will need,

Headgasket
headbolts
Piston (most probably)
2 shells

it wont hurt, for the sake of £20 quid, there worth getting.

also you will need a special tool for the head bolts, costs £12 from toyota.

right ok,best give them a ring then, this is going to cost alot of cash

I think after its done im going to sell up,wasnt expecting all this to happen

i know ever car has its faults but theres no way i can afford to do this all the time
and by reading some posts it seems to happen a lot

to be honest you bought a tuned car, that wasnt done to the best it could have.

if it didnt have the standard mani on it, you would have had no problems at all.

thats the same with me i bought a car that hadnt been tuned correctly, and i paid the price for not having the knowledge before i bought the car.
