Shouldnt cost you too much, if you need new shells, piston, rod, give me a PM and we can sort something out.

only thing is if the crank is scored and you fit new bearings it wont be long until the bearings go.

if you decide to sell the car this might put people off...

i would just buy a low mileage engine for £450 and swap em over, less pissing about and should last you alot longer.... sell the engine your taking out as its still worth something, and then it might not cost you as much as you think.. just a suggestion anyhow :)

There is another option but if the car hasnt been run since it started breathing heavy, spitting oil and not running properly you should get away with it. If it has been run for any long period of time since it broke then you could be in trouble ie, scored crank and block in the worst possible case as dan said :(

I have a block and crank spare though just hope it doesnt come to that!

Dave, you have a spare bottom end? I have a head with 4 new pistons in but no bottom end.

PM if you do :)

What mani we on about intake or exhaust? Is this problem only with the ep82 or on the glanza too, just curious? cheers

exhaust manifold and it affects both mate, there is a restriction in the 3rd runner which causes alot more heat build up especially if you tune the car so it ends up melting the piston / ring

Yet again i have another problem but i think this is more serious

The Breather comming out of the top rocker cover is spitting out oil

if i drive it very slow the oil does still spit out but very little

but as soon as i get the revs up the oil is all over the engine

Hope someone can help me

Not having much luck with this car

Thank you in advance

underneath the rocker cover is a plate that goes over where the breather pipe is connected. it has a small gap to allow fumes out to be recirculated or extracted if running a smaller filter. this will give a little oil leak but not massive amounts. if you take the rocker off and have a look and make sure that it has not corroded and check that all cams are sat properly. dont worry about getting a new gasket as its rubber and are normally ok to put back on.

let me know if this was any use
