as for buying it back.

you can only buy it back if it is a cat c or d.

if cat a/b then you are not allowed to buy it back, and the car will get scrapped and taken to a salvage firm who will then break it.

the only part you can take of that now mate, is the ssqv and air filter and plug leads, i wouldnt bother buying it back probably.

shame as i can see all the time and effort that had gone into that.

this is the only thing that frightens me with my car, is if some muppet writes it off again

Hmmm that sucks but i'm gonna get it moved to another place, its got stuff i want to keep but the shell etc. can go. I'm not gonna let them scrap the spats, sideskirts etc. an want the teins as well.

i can see your ORC clutch though that hole. not much to salvage from it really, but engine alone (it not mushed) could probly make your money back from buying it.

shame the alloys got screwed too

Speaking from experience some of the parts should be deleted from your thoughts immediately. After a crash like that I wouldn't trust the suspension, engine, or wheels again. Heavy impact can bend, twist and crack things internally.

That shell has been attacked from every bloody angle. It did keep well to you safe buddy.

I wouldnt want any mechanical parts from that on another car (apart from things like dump valve, air filter) The suspension must be buggered. To crack open the gearbox is good going!. I would say see if you can get things like your spats and skirts then any thing like lights etc (maybe the exhaust). Every thing else should be forgotten about.

I'll have to check the coilies out but maybe tein can fix them if they are mashed, bonnet can be saved, clutch, dials, boost gauge, mani etc. The roadrunner didn't make it as you can see I defo want to get the spats an skirts, then look for another bumper. Panhard rod looked ok, will check that. I'm trying to get it moved to my mates lockup so i can have a look at everything. Me no like this

Oh and i found out that it was a pajero that hit me an he admitted that someone flashed him out an he didn't see me :\

I know how it feels, i wrote off my old gt last year. Lost everything, whells,mods,engine, shell. I was 3rd party, at least your fully comp?


Its a sad day, especially when its your daily drive. You'll keep looking in the space for it,

Yeah mate fully comp. I'm just looking around places now to see what kind of repairs can be done, i've found a site that repairs really badly damaged wheels, worse than mine, so that looks good. The car meant everything to me so i want to save as much as possible, at least the new car will still have abit of the old if you know what i mean

you need to strip it of all the gear you want from it, before the insurance company take it away.

once they take it and they decide you cant buy it back, (which unfortunately will be more than likely the case mate) you are not allowed anywhere near the car unfortunately dude
