price & ease to fit? AEM 6 in 1 uego controller... though mine died for some dumb reason... even though it has a fuse..

personally if u want the best available... go for the LC-16 ;)

no.. it will be to close.. each wideband manufacturer suggests a certain distance for hte bung to be... for the aem it was (iirc) 22~28 inches away from the turbo...

it is for you with zisco kon :p

lol... all u need is a plasma cutter & a welding kit lol. then its a 5 min jobbie lol... :p

with a driller it takes slightly longer as stainless is pretty hard to drill..

hmmm yeh, don't really like the idea of drilling exhaust and don't have a wielding kit either...

so can you just clip the sensor to the end of the back box then?

that would be totally un accurate as the gasses would have cooled down by then.. is it not possible that there is an exhaust shop near u? its really nothing big man for them to do...

besides the wideband wire wont be long enough lol..

but as i indicated before hybrid.....some of the guys here use this method....of connecting the wideband sensor into the muffler (back box) and tuning from there........naturally the sensor has an extension wire on it for the extra length

no problems that i know of so far

Most of the tuners i know of in the Uk, run the wideband at the muffler.

My opinion on it being, is the lamda probe only needs the heat to work, but for reading AFR it shouldnt need heat, its not the heat that is AFR.
The AEM Wideband i have is more than long enough! lol.

Its personal preferance at the end of the day.

true, in fact the wideband has to be has far from turbo as you can to save its life... (at least it is true with bosch sensor, innovate even recommend heatsheild if it is too close to heat)
only the narrowband can be close to turbo

shite u have me worried now as my lc-1 is going into the bottom end ov the decat as i dont have the balls to drill a hole into a blitz nur spec exhaust

do u guys leave the wide band sensor in the exhaust/down-pipe when u make these bungs.........i figured u only needed it in when actually tuning the car........apart from that, depending on where its placed, starlet sam would be pretty accurate in his remarks if the sensor is left in the exhaust for an extended period of time.

ok so you would want a lower start RPM because of using road tyres it could spin too much with the settings above, also retard the timing less than above so that the boost isn't as much off the line which will help prevent spining.
the resolved thread needs to be modified to include the screenshot of hybrids above.

Do i lower the rpm in the box marked start and also how much do you suggest 3000-3500?? also how do i retard the timing less and can i have figures please?
cheers

I have had loads on cars close to the turbo, and never had a problem.

Also lol, someone should have contacted me ages ago about the emu launch control. I have been using it on similar cars since the EMU first appeared!

BTW innovate seem to ignore what Bosch say for the sensors, like the need to calibrate them when they are all laser calibrated from factory already...

guys, anyone has an idea of what the resonant frequency on the standard knock sensor should be set to in EMU in order to get a useable reading?
