take a pic of the piece of metal that came out, someone might know what it is :)

Unfortunately i lost it but i spoke to a friend, it was squarish and quite thin... Apparently it was a magnet inside the box to collect metal. Also apparently it could be the wheel bearing.... I manage to take the drive shaft out and the diff and all seems ok?! at least from the outside it does

I just thought id update this.....

We stripped the diff apart and all is good... So i bought a new box and fitted that... The original noise was eliminated but then had a new wooring noise like when a bearing starts to perish... I ignore it and 60 extremely fun filled miles later my car sounds like its falling apart lol... Clunking/wooring etc and the noise is increased by speed, not revs even in neutral So not gear related or engine... On axles there is no noise, its perfectly quiet... Noise only under load...

Ive checked shafts, wheel bearings, ive pulled about my CV's inspected the ball bearings, put all back together ad re-packed.. Fitted it all back together and still fucked..

So box back off again!! And Ive stripped the box apart and inspecting all the bearings just waiting on a puller to pull 5th gear off to reveal in internals. We believe its the input shaft bearing, had better be otherwise im lost :S fuck knows whats wrong with it lol.

So im gona replace all the bearings in the box as my mate has a press for bearing i can use...

Anyone got any other ideas what could be making these crazy noises apart from the shaft bearing ive mentioned?? Nothing really along that line on the drivetrain apart from shafts/CV/gearbox/Wheel bearing...........?

U sure it's not the wheels bearings ?
Jack up the car and put ur hand on the strut/spring cup and spin the wheels with ur hands ull easy feel/ hear the moan
