This is terrible news :( My thoughts are with family and friends. A big loss.

RIP Dave.

A track day in his memory (IMO) would be more fitting, afterall he did enjoy the Toyota Sprint Series, and it would be a meet at the same time.

Rory :(

I have experience in organising track days as you know, if this was to happen I'd be more than happy to help.

This is very sad and a great loss, he was a complete gentleman.

My thoughts go out to his family circle and friends.

I met Dave about 7 years ago at Santa Pod and after chatting for a little while he handed me a card with a purple flip colour starlet on it. We then been in contact and after getting some great help and encouragement I went about building my own racer. With the help of Rob,Dave himself and Darren I managed to get a wopping 320.1bhp from a 4e After a year of using this car I decided to sell it on and thought that Dave would be the next best owner. After he done further modification to the car he went on to winning the toyota sprint series. I must say that Dave was a legend, friend and a business man who could always spare a minute to help. I feel hurribly upset and sad knowing that he can never be replaced but with the memories of his work, laughter and impact he had on the starlet community will stay with me for a long time.. R.I.P. Aww shit. That's a genuine loss to the Starlet world, and many others marques to boot. Dave was probably one of the most original characters on here, knowledgeable enough to give good advice to those that needed it, and unique enough to offer opinions on a wide range of issues. Dave is a name that has been on here for a long, long time, and pound for pound, has probably been the most productive contributor to all things EP that we've ever had.

You're going to be missed Sir, that's for sure. It won't be the same on a Starlet forum without you lurking in the background, waiting to pounce.

A genuine, tragic loss. Rest in Peace Mr B, I hope you enjoyed your time on here, in EP's, and in life.
