on a 1.3 there isnt even a point of concidering it........

Twin turbo set ups are normally used on larger engines like 2.5cc upwards to work best.

if you want to try something different and worthwhile then maybe a variable vane turbo. you could get one off a new type diesel ford or vw. they mimic a small turbo at low revs and a big one at high revs. can they take the heat of a petrol engine tho, thats the question.

yep the vane turbo on a petrol engine idea has been around for a little while now, also know as a VNT. we used to make hybrid ones for renault 5's at my old work, they worked very well, hitting 1.2bar at 2.2k rpm or there abouts, only problem was control the boost prooved to be tricky, as they liked to spike big time, as they would boost so early they have trouble stabalizing

theres little point fitting twin turbo's to a small displacement engine anyways, the main reason why they can fit 2 turbo's to big engines is they have the displacement to spool them both, and the power transition is very smooth having 2 small turbo's. but you will notice most people with twin turbo cars who are wanting big power will ditch the 2 in favour for one big turbo.

theres been quite a few threads like this but ive allways thought... why not make a custom mani and run 1ct9 of two pipes on the mani and the other from the other two?? then just make yourself a custom exit for them?? maybe two side exits would be awesome lol!?? why would this not work.... if you get what i mean ???

well if for example you did, put a supercharger with a Turbo. lets say for example a small polo G40 charger, modified it, and put a TD05 Turbo on the GT with G40 super charger, would the charger not help in spooling the Td05 up quicker by there being more exhaust gases than normal to spin the TD05 Turbine up?? could be talking crap but im trying to think of it to give input into the thread. :)
