I cant mate, just what I seen from that 300whp jamaica style thread :)

Oh well good job I got the motor out of a 93 GT :p

I know "driver" off UKSC has been running his GLANZA @1.5 bar for a very long time with no issues.

the jamaican thread is all 5e's, or nearly all, they dont have 4e's over 300 from what ive read, as the 4e is not available over there, but 5e is in alot of others cars there, that seems to be the reason theve chose that. i think the 4e rods might struggle.

but it seems the uk style of tuning/mapping is quite a bit behind the others around the world, i'd love to send them a forged engine over, just to see how far they'd push it.

true its a pice of piss to do noting in it.the rewards will be great the 5es pull better on the straights then a 4e fact better over all drive

It only cost me an extra 350 to go 5e, I don't see how a 3sgte conversion is cheaper?

By the time you have got the engine and wiring etc all sorted...

ive recently bought a glanza and have a 5e fe engine here also, i'm planning on doing a very cheap conversion and just use the 5e block, crank, rods, flywheel and clutch, then using the 4efte pistons, and complete head and turbo, is it as easy as that or am i forgetting something? would i be expecting much mor power?

thanks gorgan, the only thing that im unsure of is the piston rings, can i use the 4efte pistons and the 5efe rings?

Interesting thread, cheers for info guys

Just question, once the 5e is fitted does it look hugely different to the 4e in the engine bay? just wondering due to insurance.

Why would that matter regarding insurance? Or are you planning on not insuring the engine transplant and not informing the dvla about the new engine capacity?

I can give you that answer with pictures. I just took out my 4e and installed my 5efte from my paseo all in 4 days. I was running 269whp on an ALL STOCK internal 4efte, should be a little higher with the 5e. this 5e in the pictures is an all stock internal 5efe out of a 1st gen usdm paseo. still running paseo pistons as i always will. this also has a 5efhe intake manifold and an hks gt2835R turbo. if i just put a 5e block on the 4e head and turbo kit, it would only be a miniscule change in the appearance in the engine bay for anyone not knowing exactly what to look for.
