wiring ignition light up barrel

i got an ignition barrel light from a corolla 20v. its a perfect fit on the barrel i just need help wiring it up. there's 3 wires, red (live), black (ground) and a red with black bits on it.

anyone know where to splice into?

It should have a small box attached to the wiring.
if it does it's earth,constant power,and switched power that will be wired to the ceiling light
You will find that wire in the drivers footwell under the plastic iirc
Or the door ajar light in the speedo cluster might work either
Get goin with your wire tester;)
