i know the jdm 4e inlet is like the turbo one lol....i dont know how the corolla one makes it better, it may to do with that its sort of ramming the air in more, as apposed to sucking it in.....someone i know put the fte inlet on a non-turbo and nothing else and it make it worse than standard, but the corollla one however didnt...strange lol
How is the Corolla inlet ramming the air in?
All n/a engines mate suck air in, a turbo blows air in, a "ram air" air filter system rams air into the filter, not into the inlet tract.
I would say the reason the fte mani did not work on the n/a is because he was incorrectly fuelled due to more air getting in without fuelling adjustments, and also do the UK n/a`s not use a different throttle position sensor? The Glanza one is a resistance type, and as far as I know the UK one is also. That would mean the fte one would not be telling the ecu the correct info about the throttle position. That would make a hugh difference.
Nothing strange about that, but really good to hear from someone who has been experimenting. You might need to go back over a few things again but.
