happy day lads ,insurance company only offered me 3250 ,but wanted 650 for salvage costs ,which would have left me with 2600,but after a lot of bargaining and threating with solicitors ,they have agreed to pay me the full 3250 ,and i can keep the car ,so happy days ,should have cheque next week,so watch this space

best of luck kid ya needed a good run after the crash and ya got it its just a waiting game now..

just a little update date lads ,picked up bootlid+reflector,rear lights,front grill and rear bumper,all in i got them for 400 euro ,happy days,dropping car of tomarrow to get rear quater fixed and have parts fitted ,collecting new front bumper tomarrow also for 100 euro,will update with pics when fixed ,then of to get painted ,so hopefully should be back on the road in the next couple of weeks,also waiting on Toby to get back to me on a price on some rotas

just a quick question ,the arms of the bootlid ,there is no movemnet in them ,does that mean there seized ,or is it just not movable when not fitted to the car

Good to see some progress lad, the bootlid struts can be stiff to compress when off the car. It will take you to put one end on the ground and push down to test them. Easily swapped over from your old one or I have a few good spares if you are stuck.

cheers mate ,they actually compressed when i pushed them to the ground ,so happy days ,thanks for the offer though,can't wait to get it back on the road
