Nice one :) I may have to meet up with u before Sunday so I can try it out and make sure it fixes the prob.

AM on Saturday would be good mate. I have the Nanglebadger in for an actuator but yours will take no time if it's just a MAP sensor.

MOT test on the auto at 3pm so I have to be cleared up for that.

As a guide, how much fuel would you use in a days dragging? If I filled my tank and cruised bout 20mile to the strip, would I have enough fuel to last me for about 6-7 runs?

I live about 50-60mins from the track, from empty I'd put in £20 and that would get me there and back plus as many runs as I can squeeze in.

Don't fill the tank to the neck! If in doubt bring a can of fuel and arrive low on juice.

Cheers for that, gives me a good idea now.

By the way, when it comes to launching is it ok to launch with wheels spinning in first, shift kinda slow in to second and away u go? I ask this because if you don't give enough it bogs down in first and if I shift second too quick when taking off it spins and hits the limiter pretty quick so was thinking this might be a good tactic.... Any tips? Lol

I think when I was running a TD04 I was launching at 4k, you can use the clutch in 1st to try and keep wheelspin at bay.

Or you can nail it off the line and feel when the car starts to drop out of the power band and change to 2nd, this can rob vital tenths from you though but you will learn when to change after a few runs without dropping of the power.

What rubber are you running?

I think 5k seems to do the trick, spins but when you shift in to second a bit slower it is right on the power rather than spinning up straight away.

I'm running Yokohama parada spec 2 tyres, will lowering the tyre pressure help with grip?

It will help a bit, with a street/radial tyre your limited to just how low you can go, prob 22-24psi would be a good starting point.

Was out dicking about in mine tonight with the launch control, I don't really like it for racing but may give it a blast or 2 tomorrow to see how she goes off the line.

Ah right cool, cheers for the tips. I was planning on letting the tyres down a bit when I get there but mite just leave it as can't get hold of a pump to put them back up for the way home.

Would there be any noticable difference in removing the passenger seat and back seats and parcel shelf etc? May be worthwile for all the effort it takes.

I have a pump you can use up there to adjust and measure your pressures.

Don't go to too much hassel removing things, take out the parcel shelf, the wooden board over the spare tyre, take out the spare and the jack.

What time are you going to be there?

Aye call over lad, I'll not arrive up to around 3pm, will give me an hour to swap over the front tyres and change the fuel. Also have a few hoses to check and tighten up.

Also check your fluid levels, oil and coolent, she's going to get hot sitting in some of the ques, I take it you have a helmet?

Well just back from this, was a good day for it but it was pretty obvious it was my first drag event...lol

I could only manage a 14.4 which is terrible to say the least. I just couldn't get off the line at all well and with the adrenalin flowing i kept spinning up and was losing an awful lot of time. An example of this is my 60ft time of 2.7 on that 14.4.

None the less it was a good experience and i have learned a couple of lessons
1) limited slip diff is necessary and i really need one
2) dont run 35psi pressure on road tyres...lol by the time i let the tyres down the event was over lol

Still took 3rd place in whatever class i was in but it was a poor turnout to be fair.
