So you reckon LSD is needed at that power? as i made 14.6 @ 0.4 bar now running a bar, and got a quaife box but wanted to see what times i can get before i fit it.

hey thats not bad for first time how did the rest get on.

yea I suppose it's ok, had a filter relocation kit that I made up and boost was dropping off a wee bit but won't have made much difference. Loads more room for improvement when I get some r888's with the pressure dropped and when I finally get a final map put on the car as it's only running bout 1.28 at the
minute. A diff would help a lot so keeping an eye out for one.

As for the rest of the starlet boys, I heard spuddy ran a 13.7 and the two 4wd boys ran 13.3 or 13.4 I think.

@llee2k4- yea a diff is deffo needed over on our surface. Even the 4wd starlets were spinning up in 1st

Well my head is wrecked! Out of about 8 runs I only managed to get into the 13s twice!

Destroyed 3 map sensors also, kept getting ECU warning lights all day. Managed 2 runs at the end when Jay gave me another map sensor, it lasted the final ok and one fun run, then the second fun run she popped it again.

The woman finally got a run in the car as a passenger up the strip a few times so she's happy about that :)

Yea well that was his final qualifying time I think, may be wrong though. Yea im deffo getting the bug for it. I was surprised how little grip there was on the strip. I just need to work on getting off the line well as my 60fts were all around 2.7 or so and if I could take a bit off them I'm sure a 13 would be possible with the current setup.

I think its destroying its internals. Pipes are staying on, but as soon as the ECU light comes on the power just drops off.

Plus the tyres need replacing, 0-60fts on the hoosiers was 2.4secs and was only able to run 1.1bar in second instead of 1.45bar without excessive wheelspin.

I have solutions for all my problems though, need to keep the good stuff for points rounds.

are they new rims you got?

i hear the red civic ran 11.9

Yea I'll be running those tyres next month and if I can sell a few bits a standalone will finally be going in so I can run a beefier map sensor.

11.99 he ran, a serious time! I raced him in the final and I was catching him from 3rd gear up! He just had so much grip of the line and through second gear.

Still not running my coilovers in the front, so still have about 1.5-2 degrees of camber thats not helping much.

I never got any videos but I'm hoping theres some of ECCs Evo!

I'm going to town on it lad, sick and tired of underperforming time and time again, it's going to be a very different car next month.

My heads pickled now though, I thought my slow times where due to the Final Drive I fitted, but now I dunno if it was a good job or not, 13.7s I ran today on the 3.7FD, last month I did a 13.3 on the 4.3 FD.

Are you racing lad?

Keep those MAP sensors and give them to me mate, think there is a way of testing them in one of the EP82 workshop manuals which I wouldn't mind trying.

Well done to the runners, good to see a few EP's on the drag strip.

Thanks Jay for bringing up the sensor, it lasted 2 runs lol :)

Saying that on the way home I gave her the beans a few times, not stupid boost max about 1.3bar and the light never came on once, so the sensors are prob ok up to a specific point.

Not to worry, buying the most expensive map sensor ever for next month lol, think its 1k :p

My guess is the fault code is just the result of the signal from the MAP sensor being too great. You're running beyond the stock units parameters remember.

If I were under your bonnet at that boost I'd be screaming for attention too..:haha:

Lol! It's defo effecting performance though, I took the woman for 2 runs up the strip.

1st run in second gear I ran 1.1bar no nitrous, 3rd gear I ran 1.8bar with nitrous and it was spinning in 3rd and the light never came on, sensor was still good at this stage.

2nd Run I ran 0.8 bar right up to 70mph and instead used nitrous from the word go, as soon as I pulled 3rd the warning light came on and the car was no where near loosing traction in 3rd.

Ahh well, sure if I didn't have these wee things to figure out I'd just get bored of her :p

Poor Chris though, his heads going to be melted in the coming weeks :)
