Rule of thumb #3 - If it breaks more than twice you need to upgrade it. :haha:

Spuddy I would change the filter going to the map sensor as well, seems not right that 3 sensors would give similar problems so soon. I have one here and another stock ecu if you want to try that as well.

Was a poor day, timed runs never started until 4.50 and they ended at 6pm, usual "what the fucks going on now" lark when the head to head runs were looming. I beat an Imprezza to get into the final with Ted who was looking at how nice my car was when the lights went green lol. ECC`s Evo shit itself or it would have slapped us about the place even giving us a head start, one time I heard was 10.3 with a 146mph terminal, monster.

Everyone was struggling for grip (except the civic moon buggy), even with 20psi in the front tyres i was spinning them up unless I launched at 3.5K, last time out I was launching at 5k!

Next months the Championship round, all niggles should be ironed out by then so just need to hope Animal, Spuddy and Ted have their problems (but nothing serious!) on the day lol.

I'm going to town on it lad, sick and tired of underperforming time and time again, it's going to be a very different car next month.

My heads pickled now though, I thought my slow times where due to the Final Drive I fitted, but now I dunno if it was a good job or not, 13.7s I ran today on the 3.7FD, last month I did a 13.3 on the 4.3 FD.

Are you racing lad?

get your car up on a dyno , be worth just checking over it .

Just out of interest what kind of difference in times can a good diff, some 888's and a bit more power make? Should be interesting to see how my times come down.

I wouldn't have been happy paying for racing and only getting 70mins!

Grip was an absolute joke, I dunno why it was so bad, even way up the track I was still spinning up.

@Nolly, can't put her on the Dyno now, she's got no ECU lol!!! Taking a wee gamble, but it's a good gamble :) bye bye stock map sensors!

Think I got my 0-60fts down to 2.3-2.4 on R888s and a diff, seen some guys get as low as 2.2secs though.

Remeber what you save at the 60ft marker you roughly double at the top end, so your 2.7sec if it fell to 2.3secs your time will drop by 0.8 of a second, your 14.4 magically becomes 13.6 :)

Ah rite that's cool, I think times will fall with experience as well. Literally I had never tried launching the car until the day before the drag and even then only tried it twice lol

there was a serious lack of grip with me spinning up in second in nearly all my runs which left the car bogging down in third. The car seemed to grip much better when I dropped the tyre pressures from 35 to 18psi but never got a timed run like that.

Yea I would imagine so, my trap times were around 108mph in think, duno what that means at all lol

trap times is the time from the vehicle leaving the starting line to crossing the finish line. Speed is measured through a speed trap near the finish line, indicating the approximate maximum speed of the vehicle during the run

108mph!!! Thats some going lad for the power. Flip some of mine where as low as 96mph lol! on the runs where I got a fresh map sensor they where around 114mph

oryt yea I know what it meant but just wasn't sure of they were high or low? A friend done a 14.7 at 94mph but he has a diff in his car, does the higher trap speed indicate a lot of wheel spin at the start.

Usually a low trap speed but good time indicates you hooked up well, seen Evos run 12.8 secs and only cross as 98mph.

Yea I can understand that, ah well I'll just have to aim for a high 13 next time and hope it's a day where more grip is available.
