hey dude thanks for your reply sounds like they`ve sent me a wrong item then. hope they sort this out as its so frustratin!
i brought mine through dave to make sure it was proper.. its the sensible thing to do, good parts cost money... when there cheap its surely obvious there is something up.. or is that jsut me?!
sorry to hear youve been ripped off though mate, its not on.. but i believe its a lesson well learnt for next time
Exedy authorised dealers are not allowed to sell on ebay
Doesn't Dave sell on ebay?!
The clutch which I removed from my GT yesterday didnt have made in Japan stamped on the pressure plate and its been in there for 2 years at over 1.2 bar and it was second hand when I bought it.
it wasnt an exedy one then.
but it was good going to last that long so cant have been bad
Agreed it did have a gold disk plate with exedy stamped on that but the pressure plate didnt have made in Japan on, I wasnt trying to discredit what you are saying its just that you never really know what you are getting.
The feel was a lot harder than a standard clutch even though it didnt have the stamp on it but the new one I fitted yesterday (also secondhand) feels a million times better, and the clutch pedal is a lot harder tha even before.
My pressure plate has no Exedy stamps/markings either Dave and its meant to be from the factory. Neither does my clutch plate, only the clutch cover.
Fake kits make use of genuine and fake parts so it can be difficult to tell.
