i think the problem is im just used 2 my car.

like the first time i went in my standard glanza wen i bought it i was like f00k me tryin 2 hang on for dear life haha..

now its at 223 bhp and its great but i dunno. im never happy

wepr td04 @ 1 bar for the moment on e-manage blue.

im quiet pleased with how it went as its my daily drive and it still has a bit more to go but for that reason i wanted to keep it relatively reliable lol.

got some big plans for it in the future tho, but cash no cash and all that doesnt help lol.

well im running a TD04 at 1bar on emanage blue at the moment, got afew more future plans for it but plan to test how far the stock internals will take me, but same as you at the moment no cash and i want to improve the chassis and brakes before adding more power, needs a LSD as well.

And jeez...people arguing about what constitutes to being "thrown back" into one's chair? When will people learn that comments like that are completely "subjective" and it's meaning will only hold true to the person calling it out, rather than as a collective...it's not like there's a universal scale of "thrown back into a chair-ness"

Anyway...Autos...

I personally can't stand them, I hate being that unproductive to a car's performance....at least I want to be the monkey slowing the car down, and not something I can blame on the car! That being said, they do extract more repeatable and consistent performance (foot to the floor, wait for it to do the rest), and it's easier to take off so I know where Akki's quest is coming from. But otherwise, eww

i havent got a problem with autos but you cant beat the raw driving feeling of a manual. dropping gears etc gives you a real sense of a car not a go kart

Lol crackup can't believe everyone is getting so angry about me being thrown back in the seat in an auto lol I have been in many fast cars including a 500 hp rx7 many people slate the autos coz they have never been in one/driven one they don't lose boost though gearchanges like a manual and are bloody quick people don't like the fact autos are quicker. Auto supras are quicker down the quarter mile than manuals lol kickdown is awesome so fast

that cannot be denied, but it's a slight exaggeration

Standard, like for like, and with a competent race driver behind the wheel, a Manual will beat an Automatic car (apart from the newer breed of cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo where the Automatic car is a couple of tenths quicker to 60mph)....The reason is that Automatic gearboxes sap more power from the engine, and are typically much heavier than a comparative manual gearbox.

Modified though, Automatics are much easier to extract consistent and easy performance from, there's much less interference from Human Error to slow the car down. Why do you think Top Fuel dragsters are Automatics? I very much doubt a human could shift gears quick enough to deal with that sort of velocity.

But this isn't a discussion of which is better...actually, what is the point of this discussion, we know who the fastest Auto Starlet GT/Glanza is

But yeah should be good, and Rikko you too mate, cant leave you behind, would be also to have a more in depth chat about the crazy drivers in the desert haha, and where the Italian cars names came from haha.. you are a knowledgeable chappy for sure

But yeah autos....

exactly whats mentioned.. only reason for using autos as drag cars as they will essentially outperform a driver when it comes to shifting as quick as necessary on these 1000BHP+ light weight dragsters....
