:psays the man who drives an auto:p

i would like to see you try shift 5 times in 6 seconds lol

can we all just say we drive starlets/glanzas because they are the most awesome small engined cars available to man?

and adam if you shift 5 times in 6 seconds you should do the quarter mile quick then... cause with my understanding a manual can do 120-125 in 4th? :p or was that just shifting up to 30mph? hehe

***all comments are stated as a joke... bar the one about greatest small engined car known to man***

im not saying there isnt ANY difference,

but from wat deano's saying it throws him in his chair?

i mean even at 220bhp im not exactly "thrown" into the chair.

maybe 3sgte is but with that kinda torque i would expect to be "thrown" lol

ditto...my cars 170-180bhp and people have said...@180bhp it should be rapidmines fucking shit slow.my cars a fucking fuck up....hope it dies:flame::mad:

PS: all this talk about autos being good off the line is fair enough... but to be honest I like the full driving experience not just launching my car.

I fully understand people liking whatever they like but lets be realistic here there is a reason automatic GTs/Glanzas/Supras can be picked up for a significantly cheaper price than a manual.... in general people who enjoy driving buy these types of cars... and people who enjoy drving generally prefer manuals hence why autos are harder to sell and thus cheaper.

If you prefer an auto thats cool and if you hate manuals thats cool by me, I dont care... I personally hate autos and have driven some and found them a total bore.

I did like Jays "1.3 Automatic" sticker on theback of his though hahaha... that was just luring people in.

you'd be surprised....there's been quite a few people nabbed for comments on their misbehaviour on Online Forums

you obviously are oblivious to the details that can be had from the internet...and when people post up videos of them breaking the law, it's all the proof they need

What a load of bull autos aren't hard to sell most of the used imports that come into nz now are usually auto and they sell very well. Some people just can't drive manuals and with auckland traffic being really bad at peak traffic times it's good to have an auto. Hell there are even driving schools with auto cars statistics show more young drivers are going for their licences in auto cars. I learn't to drive driving my mums auto autozam revue and I don't regret not learning how to drive manuals. Always been an auto sorta guy lol. And driving a auto glanza v is not boring it's really fun.

Yes they are harder to sell, HERE! not NZ, they go for a lot cheaper too.
And over here if you pass your test in an auto, your not quaiified to drive an automatic.
He said his opinion was they were boring, not a statement.

And if your car can throw you into your seat with near stock power....dont sit with your face against the windscreen:p

The only person that the tourque should effect that much is your passengers as there not holding anything to brace themselves (s/wheel) Hence the forward back motion you can put them through:D
