People should try crossing it, they seem to think its to far away, its not really.
For the sake of finding a good clean car, they should try a few people up here.
Not saying you should come up here, as ive seen you have sealed a deal, but people need to open up and realize that the roads north actually end up in Scotland!

i noticed that the majority of glanzas especially were ropey from about leicster to just after manchester, of course they cant all be shit but seems like some of the lower grade ones were being sold in that area

That has to be one of the hardest things when buying a new car, you want one and you want it now, but you have to search for the right one! it can take months and months!

Toby has a point with cheaply priced starlets. My first thought on one thats cheap is whats wrong with it? If its being sold by a member on here I would check his posts to see if there were any problems or niggles with the car. Not that I think everybody rips you off but its worth checking.
As for fresh imports I'd only buy one off a trader with a respectable repuation and folk that know what they are doing. If its hard to find a modded one then get a nice clean standard one. I'd prefer a standard one then put the bits on it myself as then you know its been done properly.
Dont get to down about not finding one and dont rush into the first one you see.
Just keep looking around or get Tody or another good quality import place to source you a minter.

I think Dave is right, finding one to the exact spec in a high grade is sometimes hard. There is a lovely grade 4 on there with a genuine 50,000 miles which I think would be ideal Ricky, I know you want wheels and mods but can't you just use your old parts?

i just dont fancy black toby, that is a minter and i have thought about it, im not fussed about mods it dont matter, as i gonna use my stuff anyway, i just wanted a body kit.
that mk1 gt was just such a nice colour, and it just really caught my eye, thats all. but what u was saying makes sense and maybe i shouldnt go for the mk1, cos of its age and 69,000 miles.

you know what mate, ive been in the same boat since mine got write off at the end of October and im still without a car.
Alot of shit out there atm and the half decent ones either to much or get snapped up pretty quick.. for this reason im feeling its time to move on.
