LSD GEARBOX- how will i know!?

How do i know if my glanza is the one with the lsd gearbox transmission??

Firewall says C56-4A on it.

when jacked up on both wheels and in gear if i spin one wheel the other one then also spins.in all gears. my firewall however says c56 02a.do i have one??

dose it spin the same way???

Another way to test is to hold one wheel and get someone to try and spin the other

dunno if it was the same way. i was spinnin one side and my cousin said the othr side was spinnin and vice versa. not sure bout direction tho? does this indicate a lsd?? ah rite and if someone holds one wheel and the other one wont turn then it has a lsd?? ps how do you upload pics??

if the wheel spins the oposite way then u have a open diff i.e No LSD

If they both turn the same way it'll have a LSD.

Look in the engine bay. The chassis plate is on the firewall right in front of you... Where it says transaxle it should say C56-4A if it was equipped with and LSD.

Could have been put in afterwards, or be aftermarket though.

Do I have an LSD in my box?

I have nothing stamped on my firewall, so it wasnt in there form new.

but when i turn the passanger side driveshaft forwards, the drivers side shaft turns forwards.

Opposite to the normal diff. But I am currently in the middle of changing my clutch and i had the gearlinkages off, so if it had slipped into gear would this have caused both wheels to turn forwards or does it not matter?

Mine does exactly the same thing....

Though on my old engine it didnt do that.

ifyou turn one wheel and the other turns the same side its a lsd. shafts should be same size too (me thinks)

the shafts will only be the same length if its a factory lsd if its aftermarket they wont be

My shafts are different lengths.

So I have an aftermarket LSD, bonus. I cba to open it up and find out just put the box back on now haha.

make sure you use some good lsd gearbox oil

How can i tell if my glanza has a LSD gearbox. i just got it few days ago and
have no idea however it has a little sticker when you open the drivers door saying LSD but i fink that doesnt mean much

use the search button man this has been asked many a time!

jack both the front wheels up, put it in gear and spin 1 of the wheels.

the other wheel should turn the same direction if you have a lsd,

if not it will spin other direction

Also only jack up one side and try and turn the wheel off the ground. If its stiff you have a LSD (or a problem)
