i know how u feel mate same thing happened to me yesterday main things is that you and your partner are fine and there was no major injuries and for the idiot who is trying to blame you i am sure he will get what he deserves goodluck mate

Just as well you have a witness. The other person causing a crash then saying the inocent party was speeding is becomming more common. Anything to try and shift the blame!!!

Hope you get things sorted out soon :)

always watch out for oncoming cars who wanna turn right. here in london, we have complete tossers who, when u r driving down the road, decide that there is no car in sight and just pull in front of u. w*****s

Feel really sorry for you man have seen the pics of the car when it was standard and you did so much work sorry to hear man there are alot of stupid drivers around nowdays they don't seem to give a shit anymore at least your ok mate

i can not believe this mate. i realy do feel sorry for you main thing is every one was ok tho . i had some hit my last gt pritty bad but i was able o get it fixed thanks to a few mates helping me out .

Thanks for all your kind comments, yeah it really is a shame as he admitted liability straight to my face on 5 occasions but yet when the police came up he tried to shift the blame.

I will post up pics today some time got to call insurance company in a min and break the news :(.

Anyone have any idea of what insurance companies offer in terms of book value if the car is written off ?

Thanks to the people offering help if i need anything il be sure to phone for help :).

Its a sad day :(

Yeah drivers side, is pretty gone, but the wheel still turns so not that bad, however one of the mechanics was saying on secene that if i didnt have the strut braces the cars front end would of buckled.

And if you saw the damage on the other car you would think he hit a shopping trolley :( Unbelieveable.

Whats the chassis rails like? Hard to tell from the pic.
Im geussing the insurance will write it off, but i reckon you could put it back on the road, if really wanted.

Sorry to hear about your nightmare mate, I don't know what I'd do.

Anyway I remember one of the older forum members having his car written off a few years back and the insurance company tried it on as they always do. He refused what they were offering and got lots of evidence etc of what GT's were selling for in the autotrader etc. In the end he managed to get a much better payout after providing the evidence.
