Dane lost for words, really am. Just spotted the PM as well about cancelling the rebuild no problems there Dane and we are very sorry for you as we were looking forward to forging her.

Regardless there is light at the end of the turbo, you can buy a shell or a non runner and transplant what you have left, either that or you can do what Ricky is doing and buy the car back from the insurance, it will take a little longer but like the rest said chin up and if we can do anything to help then let us know..

Toby - Yeah i am absolutly gutted one of the first things that sprung to mind apart from geting out my car to see if my G/f was ok. Cant believe it. I am getting a hire car already, so they are working very quickly just cant belive to cheek of this guy.

SX_Turbo - Yeah mate i know :( really is a killer i tell ya, i have let them know that i dont want the car to leave my drive and they have said it will be 10-15% of the value i will have to pay to get it back regardless of Category.

O well, cant sop forever even though i wuld love to :(. Yeah chin up and look forward to the next GT.

yea the damage is pretty severe looks like it just crumpled aye :( suprised the fmic survived tho lol! hopefully you can get it back mate even the brakes by themselves would be worth taking back off!

Damn mate, that car was just getting better and better too from the looks of things, some muppets driving out there just don't give two hoots for others though :(

Glad to hear you and the g/f aren't too bashed up though, looks like a failr nasty whack.

Having been with Admiral (Same company as Elephant) you'll probably find that they get the hire car to you asap as it benefits them in the long run when they land the third party with a big bill for car hire from day 1 of the claim. Be prepared to probably not have the hire car for the duration of the claim though. Speaking from recent experience, I had the hire car for a month before they made an offer on my write off, and from then onwards while I disputed the (pathetic) offer, I had to make do with public transport as they won't provide a hire car beyond that point.

I hope you get most of the good bits off her before she gets taken away mate. If you can take the tax disc off before then too, it is a good idea as it can be a pain trying to get it back afterwards while it sits waiting to be assessed etc.

i hope you get it fixed dane and do your plans for td05 etc:( was only last night when i was saying about us meeting up soon when you get it setup:(:( i can see that being longer now:( i hope you get it sorted mate

this is silly all these GT's being damaged,its the mint ones too.youl always have our support from tgtt anyway dane:)tc

Did this happen in the one way system?

I presume it was the O/S corner/wheel that took the impact? Im sure it looks worse than it is.

I'd get the O/S wing, wheel and bonnet off and see whats bent, if its just the bottom arm and track rod then its not gunna take much to get it back on the road. We've repaired alot worse without the need for a jig.

Dont let the insurance take the car, its not theirs till they pay out and they can inspect and estimate the damage from your driveway.

Sorry to see this Dane, not a nice thing to wake up to.

I'm glad that you and your girlfriend are still in one peice, sounds like a minor collision but as you can see the GT's don't have a great resistance to front end attack.

This being said I've seen worse put back on the road mate so don't write her off just yet.

Keep the chin up, go to the docs and keep us all updated.
