I ahve had 3 people look at it (mechanics) and they have all stated that the chassis is bent and leg has also been bent badly too, they reckon not an ecomonical repair. Still not the news i wanted to hear, just waiting on the insurance assessor to come round and give his final verdict.

as i said in your thread mate, absolutely gutting! But things are looking up i see
Yeah i have to look up mate i am a GT owner for life, wherever i go or what ever i do the GT will always be near me. Getting another will help get through this too as i can concentrate of swapping all the bits over too.

Just another update really, assessor came around today car is Cat B not to be put back on the road. So i have stressed that i want the car back to break it further. He said he will add it to his report and does not see why i cant keep it to break it only.

mine refused to let me buy mine back if it turned out to be a catB, lucky mine was a cat c though.
they told me i got to wait another 28 days though as i said i wasnt happy with there offer, its been 7 weeks now
i'm screwing them over with the hire car though, so far it cost them 2.5k lol

That's really not fun for anyone, when an accident like this happens. Not even rolling fast... This shows how much we have to drive for others than us on the road.
Just today, I was cruising around in a country town, with my ST185 Celica AWD, back from the grocery store ; I turn a corner, and accelerate normally to get out of the town. Then I see, in my mirror that there is a guy in a Civic that wants to sniff the ass of my car. In my head I say to myself: Hey you, get away... We are still in a 30 mph speed limit. Then, when the speed limit changes to 50 mph, he is still there, in my rear end. I accelerate to get to normal speed of 55 mph. While I accelerate, he decides to pass like a fool, using the last little horses from his vtec engine. When he has passed me (I wasn't racing at all, just enjoying the ride), he gives a big hit on the steering wheel and barely touches the nose of my Celica! WHY? Just tell me why? I guess it is the hate he has for me to have a car that he would like so much to have but he can't find. I guess he saw the turbo4WD emblem on the trunk and said, I'll show him, what I can do with that Civic! Well guys the roads are slippery right now, here in Canada, and it's no place for things like that and it's not, anywhere on Earth.
There is so many dangerous things in life, why taking chances, risking life of others.
I see what you feel mate about your accident, and it's breath taking. We pass so much of our time tuning these cars, it no fun to scrap all that work, and it's terrible to break lives.
That was my personal message (I do not want to moralize anyone on this forum, it's just to share my experience of today)
