brought a tear to my eyes mate. was just the other day i was looking at your car and feeling jealous that mine wasnt that sweet.
if nothing is seriously bent it may be worth getting it back in the road again.

hope everything works out in the end, for better rather than worse.

hate reading theses kind of posts, sometimes you pretend their not there and if you refresh the page it was just your eyes seeing things,

real feel for you bud, when someone puts hard work into acheiving something only they can feel the loss, but your hard work doesnt finish there, you'l build a better one, trust me bud and you'l be smiling again :)

but like jay said dont write it off yet, may still be able to get it fixed, hope it does,

rest first, get yourself better and fit and then start again, good luck :)

Thats real bad mate sorry to hear it.

Im sure the coppers must have heard that excuse many times before? Trying to make out the victim is speeding?

I mean how can they 'claim' you were speeding. They have no proof.

Mind you, insurance companies are nothing more the criminals in suits. The witness will help out a lot.

I got hit before in a car park. They pulled out in front of me, and claimed i flashed my lights to let them out and i drove into them!! Sounds crazy but it took them about 7 months to pay up!

As someone else said they will try and screw you, they are scum bags. I was 3rd party at the time and had so much hassle! My car ran out of MOT while it took so long and wouldnt have passed because of the damage, so i had to buy another car, none of which i was reimbursed for the hassles, so now i am insured fully comp. At least now my ins comp would foot the bill then claim it back off whatever scum bag hits me.

Good luck mate you will just have to hold out and it will get sorted in the end.

Dane mate, really sorry to see this happen.

Couldnt have come at a worst time and was so undeserved.

The main thing is you and your partner are not injured but the Project GT looks in bad shape.

Whichever option you choose next mate all the best with it and you have our full support.

Thanks all again,

I have had a friend come around that works for a body shop and they have the jigging equipment, they will draw up an estimate and il subtmit that to the insurance company.

He says there is a slight possibility it may still be able to be put back on the road, but i will hold my breath in anticipation. Yeah the project is on hold but thank god i am alright and my g/f is too, couldnt bare to think of anything worse is something had to happen.

I will keep you all posted but all my hard work i have put into her has been shattered feels like a part of me has been taken too.

Never the less i await to see the estimate quote and see what happens get a courtisy car tomorrow hopefully great service for TPFT. I ont have to pay a penny at all.

O well i just hope she can be put back on the road wish me luck :).

aww man thats proper shit, and like SX i know the feeling as mine was wrote off in October.

As for value when i spoke to her insurance as i had it insured at 2500 even tho i only paid 2k for it i told them straight i wanted the 2.5k back, they went away and within 40min i had a call back from them saying fine np etc and they wrote mine off as CAT C which compared to yours mine was just a scratch. I bought mine back from them for £500. My process took ages as her insurance company had spoke to me direct so no 3rd party company would get involved, so i had to hassle them as id took the car to there insurance garage 3 days after the accident and it took them 4weeks to come back to me and they didnt even i had to ring and ring and ring and they kept palming me off. I got a solicitor involved due to Personal Injury and had a word with them regarding getting everything done and dusted and get my cheque sent out, they had it sorted and a week later had my cheque.

Take it to you mate to get him to look over it and get a decent quote off him for it as if you take it to theres they'll no doubt write it off as the guy i spoke to said 90% of jap imports they'll write off as they cant get parts, mine alone came to 2k's worth of damage.

Good luck anyways buddy, hope it works out in your favor.. just dont take any shit and never take the first offer if they write it off, as someone above said, print off as many good priced adds you can to back it up :)

Cheers people, yea the car just crumbled, honeslty if you saw his car you would have thought he reversed into a trolley at a supermarket.

It may be jig able but i am unsure how much all the new pannels and front end parts wold cost i wold have to take some more pics. Somehow i feel the life of this car is over. :(

Gutted to hear this dude! Glad to hear you and your girlfriend are ok though!

If its repairable look about for spares! I managed to find a back end damaged Starlet and got a front the front end off it for £250, Also got the weld in bits through the dealership I work for at cost price :)

Super Mod (極度の調整器)
Dane, obviously gutted for you mate, but the main thing is you're both OK...

Regarding insurance, as you're with Elephant, you'll need to get proof through other adverts of your cars worth. Remove all mods and replace with standard ones (worth your while, trust me), and DON'T let Elephant take the car until you've done this. For the mods that are damaged, you'll get nowt back, so make sure you get some good adverts to bump up the price so that you can offset your loss.

A customers car suffered the same fate, and Elephant organised everything so fast that he didn't even have time to go back to the car and collect his CD from the player. They had already moved it to a breakers over 200 miles away... They will allow you to buy it back at a percentage of the agreed settlement provided that it's C or D.

Chin up chap, it's only a car, and there are plenty more to modify...

So sorry dane, i know the time and money that has gone into this beast and its just what you didn't want/need but things happen just try and look on the bright side could have been worse, you could have seriously injured yourself which is whats more important.

You'll be back on the road soon i know it wont be the same.
