yeah thinks it way beyond the point of no return now... the majority of starlet owners in europe are on this forum so i doubt there will be many starlet owners wanting to part with there money with his company knowing whats been going on recently..

although i still think there will be people stupid enough to buy bits off him if its something no other trader sells...

i dont understand how toby has let it get this far myself..

It's going to be very hard to make a Comeback as the " Starlet Specialise " when he's alienated by far the two biggest Starlet owners clubs in his chosen language.

Good ridence to bad rubbish

i am one of those buyers who's still out of pocket. its now been just under 3 months since ordering pads and disc's from toutuning and fortunatly for me they have now decided to send out the discs and refund me for the pads.
i still have one order which is just processing near 4 weeks after ordered also. i have only had communication from the after adding them on msn, each of they email address's and constantly emailing them every 2 days. well wait and see who long the later order takes, but going from the first one, it'll be a while.
i have ordered other parts from traders and they have arrived mid week if ordered on a friday, and i think even there communication has been good. every part of the process was emailed.
i think its shocking that they have gotten away with this for so long, and im sorry to say that if they are to come back, i wont be using them, and ill be sourcing my parts elsewhere.
your loss guys, if there was more communication with what was happening, atleast it would'nt have made the whole proccess piss so many folk off.

This to me means that Toby of toytuning is watching this forum and is very active online

I certainly hope so.

At least it means he can see the disruption, mayhem and heartache he has reaped. Just think how that must feel to have lost so much respect in such a short space of time..

The arrogance doesn't surprise me to be totally honest. It's that attitude that has done most of the damage. I just hope he can see the reality of the situation before it goes much further.

Bigger and better Toby? We find ourselves at opposite ends of that discussion. I think it's safer for everyone if you just stopped thinking about comebacks and started with the paybacks lad.

A fair one really. Instances such as the above from Fraser show how far they lost the plot really.

There is no place in a market for retailers that don't provide even the most basic level of customer service, let alone show no regard for the people who are keeping them in business. Especially given, as Idrees said, there are plenty of other traders more than able to step up and do things properly.

Fair play if Toby can turn things around, but I'd certainly not be confident of handing any cash over given what has happened now. It's a shame in a way, as I'd dealt with them trouble free more than once and was even considering contacting them to find me my next starlet when I decided to change. To go from excellent to down the tube rep wise in such spectacular fashion was honestly quite painful to watch given the above.

I hope those owed funds have success in retrieving them or the goods they purchase, losing money through no fault of your own in the current economic climate really isn't something anyone to have to deal with.

Would like to add that I completely understand and agree with the actions of UKSC and TGTT regarding Toby's activities.

It would be unfair and misleading not to warn fellow enthusiasts and owners about the lacklustre service being offered. To sit back and do nothing is simply not an option.

Both sites represent a large proportion of the online Starlet community and as such they have a duty to inform.

From the front page.

WARNING!!! ToyTuning.com have been removed as a trader from this site. Their website is still open for business however they have failed to send parts to members of this site despite accepting their money. It is next to impossible to contact this company and its owner, Toby Aspinall, has been banned from using this website.

If you are joining this website in order to contact toytuning regarding an item you have purchased via their website and not received you will not be able to contact them here so please do not ask on the forum for contact details. We suggest contacting your legal advisor for further assistance.

Theres also a sticky here.

For my part, I've known Toby for a while when he was hassling me to get him a new Starlet after his converted SR got totalled. He's an enthusiast at heart, and he often asked for advice when he first started up selling parts. As people have said, he's a nice bloke, but, it looks to me like he was a victim of the 'what goes up quickly comes down quickly', and he took on too much.

What dissapoints me however, are 2 things... The first, is that in this modern day and age, communication is easy, and yet he managed to fail spectacularly at trying. When you can get email on your phone, there's no excuse for not keeping in touch. Emails, phoning, PM's, there are various ways to communicate, but this he did not do.

The second thing is all the people who keep saying 'I received parts from him and he was fine'. Can all of you who comment not see the problems that are going on? Just because you got your parts, that doesn't make it any easier on the people that didn't. We all know that he was good, but, currently is not. So, keep up with current events, and stop living in the past...

just got this email from toby, sounds like he has being having a tough time, its not an excuse for "stealing" peoples money tho but we will have to c what happens with his business.

"Hi Ed,

Many thanks for your email I am so sorry for the awfully late reply. Just to let you know I am back in the office now after working a 2nd job for a few months to help ends meet in these difficult times. If you ever need any continued technical help or advice with a Starlet related topic then please let me know as am more than happy to help as always now that I have some time to concentrate on Starlets again.

Once again I apologise for the situation and hope I can be of a benefit to you some time soon.

Kind Regards,

Toby"

i don't think he was ever out to scam people, just think things piled up and he couldn't handle it so buried his head in the sand.
