oh i am confused now as to which way to fit my catch can!

CAN OF WORMSSSS

on another note my catch can has been sat around months waiting for me to make space in the engine bay.

im going to refit mine as shown on wainys edited pic by MWP - going to measure the size of the two bits where the hose now goes to from catch can.
ordered a 9mm breather filter for the rocker cover.

I am going to be blocking up the inlet vacumme and venting the PVC + rocker breather to atmosphere. Simply going to exclude the catch can altogether and the pipes are going to vent straight out into atmosphere under the car.

Getting some new adaptors fitted to an old rocker cover to increase the breather so that the pressure can escape quicker.

each to their own but this is what i will be doing.

Don't see how or why air would be entering the rocker cover? The rocker cover is under pressure from blowby gasses.

Venting the catch can to atmosphere is the only surefire way to ensure no blowby gasses get intothe inlet causing octane dilation and increasing the chances of detonation

Just to add to this thread as I've just fitted mine.

How it is here:

Is more or less not that much different to just putting the air filter stright on the outlet so allthough it may be 'wrong' in the sense of you should really put the cna son the pcv system it can not do any harm.

Didn't work for me.:( Had to pay full price, seems it only works for certain ebay users and there's no way of knowing until you're committed to buying.

I only wanted one cos it was 95p!

Same mate. Now im committed to buy :( I keep trying it hoping it will suddenly work lol.

So is this the best way of fitting the catch can then, with mini filter on the rocker and then the two hose's going from the can to the inlet & rocker bits????

If you feel flash get two catch cans.:p

Instead of the mini filter on the rocker it would be better to tap a hose into the air intake before the turbo, like the standard set up. That way it can still breath through the air filter and the intake pressure will help pull through any oil.
